[Chorus]
Stand tall with God's might, hold His truth in the fight,
Be strong in the Lord, like the shining light,
Armor wrapped around, faith is our brigade,
In His strength we trust, never be afraid.
[Verse 1]
We walk in shadows, yet our path is clear,
With the Word in our heart, we conquer fear.
Shield of faith, guards our soul, bold and bright,
In His righteousness, we find our true might.
[Verse 2]
Loins gird with truth, step firm in peace's stride,
Through storms of deceit, in Him we confide.
Salvation's helmet, guard our minds from woe,
In the Spirit's sword, the seeds of hope sow.
[Bridge 1]
With every whisper that shakes our belief,
God’s armor stands firm, offering relief.
From depths of doubt, His presence unfolds,
A beacon of love, as His promise holds.
[Bridge 2]
In battles fierce, let His strength lead the way,
Through trials and pain, we find His steady sway.
In prayers unceasing, our hearts forge strong,
In the chorus of faith, where we all belong.
Reflect & Pray
Why do you sometimes forget to use the armor of God? How can you stand firm in your battles?
Dear God, thank You for giving me Your divine protection.
Speaking to gentile (non-Jewish) believers in Jesus, Paul uses the metaphor of a Roman soldier’s armor—compelling imagery for that audience. Although drawing on militaristic imagery to highlight a struggle against “the powers of this dark world the apostle also emphasizes that this isn’t a fight against human beings— “against flesh and blood”—but against “spiritual forces of evil It’s a conflict in which believers follow our suffering Savior, who died out of love to reveal “the gospel of peace He’s equipped us with spiritual armor so we can stand strong when we face spiritual battles.
