LIV golfer Graeme McDowell won’t be part of Luke Donald’s European Ryder Cup team this year. The former U.S. Open champion wasn’t chosen as a vice-captain — those roles went to Edoardo and Francesco Molinari, Thomas Bjorn, and Jose Maria Olazabal. Despite his resume, McDowell admitted he had practically begged for a chance to help Team Europe, even joking he’d make coffee if that’s what it took. Six players are already locked in: Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, Robert MacIntyre, Justin Rose, Tyrrell Hatton, and Rasmus Hojgaard. Donald’s final six picks come Monday. McDowell, who’s played four Ryder Cups and was part of Europe’s 2023 win in Rome, says he’ll be cheering from afar and hopes to be included at Adare Manor in 2027.
