This development had an immediate impact on the Judges. They were impressed with the quality of build, creation of courtyards and the immaculate attention to detail, right in the heart of the Old Town. It was clear that the place had been which had been created with considerable forethought at the masterplanning stage as well as the execution of build and landscaping. The development forms part of the Council’s long term regeneration strategy for the area and the Judges also felt confident in the early involvement, vision and leadership shown from the Planning Department. Without doubt, through planning collaborating positively with the design team, the outcome on the ground had endorsed the project’s aspirations and boldness.
