Intellectual property law can be a confusing landscape. This presentation goes over the basics of the four types of intellectual property, how they apply to game development and software, and some common pitfalls. We hope to make terms like "fair use" and "filing date" less intimidating and to leave the audience feeling confident as they move forward with their projects.
