This time I came across a real treasure — and a true mystery. I’ve added the oldest Barbie horse mold to my herd, but without some serious research, I couldn’t tell if it was really a Barbie horse.
Unlike most Barbie horses, this one has no real hair or shiny accessories — but it does have 12 points of articulation.

In this video, I take a closer look at the horse itself and its tack, trace its fascinating history that spanned the entire 1970s — not only under the Barbie brand but also in the Big Jim / Karl May lines.
