Driving up to Glencoe Scotland, Night driving in winters

Описание к видео Driving up to Glencoe Scotland, Night driving in winters

We challenged ourselves and drove from Milton Keynes to Scotland Highlands in December. It was around 10 hour drive as we stopped in between as well, to stretch, eat, fill gas etc. Plus there was a road accident in Glasgow. So keep those things in mind when planning long drives in winters in any cold countries. It was sunset by 4 pm and we reached Fort William around 9 pm.
You may break journey in between, like stay in Glasgow and continue to Highlands on next morning for soaking in the scenic beauty of Loch Lomond and Glencoe.

The roads of highlands are through mountains so expect twists and turns and bendy single carriage roads. Drive in the dark only if you are an expert and experienced driver, otherwise I would suggest to break your journey, as Glencoe is worth seeing in the am.

We covered Glencoe while returning from highlands. We are experienced drivers, still we were extra cautious during our drive in the pm through the mountains.

Those who have not visited Glencoe, I highly suggest it. The mountains are so welcoming, it will warm your heart. There are tour operator buses running from Glasgow and Edinburgh so people who don’t drive can take the bus.
Drive safe and happy journey!
