This smithing noon I was doing the finishing touches on a machete, hatchet head, and forging out a new kitchen knife!

So the machete had been the original kitchen knife, but I got it too thin and then when I went to put a finger hole in the top it cracked open.. and the heat of the forge burnt some of the edge off towards the handle..

Which could all be fixed, but I found a piece I feel will suit the style better, and I just need to be more patient and mindful with it..

Someone likes the original though for a machete, and so here I fixed it up as good as possible for the next stage of grinding.. from there I'm going to teach him how to do it ✨️

The hatchet was one that a lot of people were showing interest in but no one wanted to pay what it's worth yet.. so, since I needed to make a hatchet for a fellow, I recreated it into a kindling hatchet by drawing the blade out a few more inches.. it's made from a piece of railroad track

My forge needs a little tlc, tender loving care, why I keep looking at it sometimes to make sure it's not sputtering out on me or another piece of fire brick hasn't fallen from the roof.. it's an old one

I found this old desk when I was cleaning a part of a friend's yard last week, and figured to fix and restore it
