I'm making this to show some tools and techniques I use for doing deep space exploration.

This is my first attempt at this - after spending nearly two years working around the bubble.

As I've often wondered what the long-range passenger missions, to Collect Data, were like - I finally decided to go do one. A one month mission, half way to the galactic center.

Although I failed the mission when I landed on a planet with high-g (I forgot to look at the planet's gravity before landing; my passenger got pissed at me for hitting the planet too hard and told me to drop him off at the nearest outpost. They gave me 20 minutes to get them there. But, given that I was over 12,000 LY from the nearest outpost, they jumped ship instead. Out in the middle of nowhere, they just jumped ship. LOL

I couldn't find any escape pods, which didn't make much sense to me. But, oh well.. Too bad for them.

Now that I don't need to get back home on their schedule, I have changed course, on the way to Jaques Station instead.

I've been learning how to identify planet types.
So, in this tutorial I show the learning process, techniques, and tools I've been using.

Hopefully this will be of some use to others.
