1969 Mustang 428CJ Mach 1

Описание к видео 1969 Mustang 428CJ Mach 1

This 1969 428 Cobra Jet Mustang was purchased on Bring a Trailer and is a rare car. It was an INTRODUCTORY SHOW UNIT that the District Sales Office diverted to the Dallas Memorial Auditorium for the show per the original Ford invoice. All the show units were built the same. R code 428 CJ, C6 automatic transmission, 3.50 traction – loc rear axle, power steering, drum brakes, Candyapple red with black interior, tilt – away steering, AM/FM radio, and chrome styled steel wheels. The engine for the car wasn’t a 428 CJ, it was a 390 with correct Cobra Jet heads, intake, carburetor, and exhaust manifolds. A correct 428 CJ block, crankshaft and pistons came with it, but has surface rust. Will have to sleeve the block hopefully the crankshaft will clean up. The car was built 8/16/1968, and had very little rust but it had a lot of damage on the right side of the body and the left rear had a quarter skin. This is our 4th episode so be sure to check out all the others to see more work we’ve done on this build project! Hope you learn tons!
