Raising Prostate Cancer Awareness: 'Don't Be The One' Campaign Launch in Huddersfield

"Don't Be The One" is a campaign from the Yorkshire Cancer Community which aims to raise awareness of the problem of prostate cancer, particularly among black men, as they have the highest incidence rate for being diagnosed with this often invisible disease.

Huddersfield saw the launch of this crucial programme in the Chestnut Centre, owing to Huddersfield's significant African and Caribbean descendant community, alongside a mobile liver health check unit.

The Don't Be The One programme aims to spread awareness around the potential symptoms of prostate cancer, as well as the fact there may not be any symptoms and encourages people to get checked out if they feel like something may be wrong.
