I got re-baptised ! 💦

I got baptised 15 years ago and I meant it, but since then I wrestled a lot with life and faith. I honestly feel like I’ve lived 10 lives 😬 I struggled with depression, anxiety & suicidal thoughts for years. I struggled with alcohol and drug dependence.
I experienced rejection & disappointment over & over. I had serious anger issues (hard to believe now right 😅) that I was nicknamed chilli api 🌶️ I struggled with idolatry, lust, sex, obsession with status, money, comfort, acceptance, validation and everything the world has to offer so that I could find purpose. I experienced betrayals in friendships, relationships and lots of church hurt that I didn’t want to be a “christian” anymore.

But through it all, Gods redeeming love found me again and I came back to the understanding of the true meaning of the gospel, & have been able to experience God’s pure unconditional grace towards me.

Since then I have repented and re-consecrated my life but I thought I couldn’t get baptised again, which kinda ate at me. But actually the bible doesn’t say you can’t be baptised again. It says that the baptism of water is the baptism of repentance.
Baptism is a covenant between you & God & acts as a public declaration that your old life is dead & your new life is in Christ- just like marriage is a declaration of love.

So why get baptised again if you’ve already been baptised ? Because baptism is also for US to remember the covenant we made and will keep between us and God, it’s like a renewing of vows 💍 It’s for us to remember our identity and from that, we can walk out in authority.

God fills all the holes the world & humans can’t. I’ve been able to see & experience supernatural extraordinary miracles that can’t be explained with human logic. But the biggest miracle of all is the miracle of the cross, which is more than enough ✝️

Jesus, I love you so much it hurts. Til the race is finished, I won’t stop running 🤍
