Mysterious events, opera, forgotten basements... what an intriguing story to tell ! An animated adaptation of Gaston Leroux's epic tale "The Phantom of the Opera".

It is a story of disfigured and misunderstood music genius Erik who lives in the opera basements, and his infatuation he holds for his protegee Christine Daaé is so strong that even her heart cannot resist. Christine, the young opera singer, is torn between her mentor and the love for her childhood sweetheart Raoul.

Decision to use 2D animation as technique for this project was made based on the actual story and the targeted audience.

2D traditional animation is very time consuming but a beautiful craft, and made with hand painted backgrounds, is the best suited for this tale.
