the scene that incarnates to an amazing extent that heavy viscous feeling when i used to return home on short military leaves .. that hideous dark feeling of being lonely, odd, grotesque and far apart from everything and everybody ..
can't blend in ..
don't want to blend in ..
everyone seems like a mere stranger no matter how close he really is ..
not mentioning the lost childhood friendships ..
not mentioning a lost love ..
rowing in the nile alone in a small boat till dawn used to be some sort of a remedy .. passing under the dark high bridges .. imagining naively that they might be the last agony castles that holds me under !
