Lossy. It's a thing that most of you, if like me was unfamiliar with the Goodhertz plugin, didn't fathom needing, nor immediately differentiate this from the likes of Gen Loss and similar pedals. But oh my, after listening to the first few clips to surface I was an instant convert and couldn't wait to get my hands on one. Thanks so much to Scott from CBA for sending it downunder!

So, Lossy is a museum of digital audio artefacts that anyone of my generation remembers from the turn of the last century. The early days of duplication digital versions of music, filming video on the first generation of phones that allowed it, and trying to have a coherent conversation on Skype, were all frought with badly compressed audio, dropouts, sound smearing and all around poor quality. Little did I know that one day I would find all those sounds endearing and want to splash them around my tunes!

Lossy encapsulates the overall sonic scape of these sounds and lets you combine moments from them together to make a musical tool out of disturbance, interruption and digital failure. Enjoy!
