On a brisk and frigid Saturday evening on Mar. 2, the citites hip hop scene gathered at the Inferno Cantina in downtown Salt Lake City to watch two MC's display their skills and gain respect for their craft of battle rap. Utah's Hip Hop scene is healthy as the fans came out to celebrated the first numbered AHAT event AHAT 49 March Madness Mega Regional Battle. A.K. representing the East Side of the city and Stupid King representing the Rose Park neighborhood, this battle is sure to exhibit the diversity of Utah's urban Hip Hop/Rap scene. Both artist were scheduled to battle different opponents from Texas and with just a few days notice were advised of cancelations. The artist would agree to battle each other with just 3days notice. This battle is sure to make you smile and feel good. The videographers encountered technical difficulties with the storage card becoming full at the duration of the battle accidentally cutting off a portion of Stupid King's final verse. With AHAT UTAH standing by a posting all of the battles policy we ignored the advice from other AHAT executives to not post the battle and still uploaded the battle for view and promotion. AHAT UTAH has since implemented a urgent policy to ensure we always have multiple camera angles of each battle and a periodic footage dumps to prevent this from reoccuring in the future.
