with that said, let’s take a closer look at the KAWS Companion 2020.

So where and how you can buy this KAWS Figurine?

Based on KAWS instagram post, KAWS will release the COMPANION 2020 on Thursday December 17th at 12:00pm (Noon) Eastern Standard Time on KAWSONE.com

The retail price will be around $200-$320 USD excluding the tax and shipping.

The KAWS ‘COMPANION 2020’ will be released in three colors (brown, gray and black), and will be accompanied by a small restock of the KAWS HOLIDAY SPACE’ and ‘BFF’ figures.

Much like the HOLIDAY JAPAN figure from 2019, COMPANION 2020 is laying down.

FACE DOWN - appearing tired or dead.

The KAWS Companion 2020, will have 3 colorways

brown/tan/green

Grayscale

black/yellow

The figure’s signature detail is its flattened face, chest and legs, enabling it to be displayed properly on any even surface.

What is the previous KAWS Companion figurine released for it’s 20th anniversary?

We have the KAWS Space Holiday.

This is a celebration of 20 years of the KAWS Companion and an extension of the KAWS:HOLIDAY.

KAWS brought back its astronaut Companion, the same series as the one used for his redesign of the MTV Music Video Awards Moonman in 2013.

This figurine is limited, special and the design is amazing specially the silver colorway.

If you missed this released, you will have a chance to get it in retail later at KAWSONE.com with the KAWS Companion 2020 released.

The kaws space holiday has a resale price of around $1,200 at the moment.

Going back to the KAWS Companion 2020.

This face down KAWS figurine is completely different look compared to other KAWS companion releases.

This pose is almost the same style as the previous releases

First, we have the KAWS HOLIDAY JAPAN, where it’s lying on it side looking optimistic and happy.

Second, we have the KAWS Holiday Taipei called “Resting Place”, where the figurine is sitting down.

Third, we have the KAWS Holiday Hong Kong, where the figurine is floating or lying down facing up.



In conclusion, this KAWS Companion 2020 will have a nice resale value. Currently, the resale price in sstockx are around $800. This will definitely go down more once the buyers will get their hand on this figurine.

As a reseller, you can get a profit on this shoe. I suggest selling it immediately in stockx before shipping starts.

as for personal use, this is a great looking figurine, completely different look and its a remembrance for year 2020 - a difficult and annoying year for all.

Finally, I’m still on the fence on this figurine, the facing down KAWS is hard to display and hard to appreciate the look because its lying down. I will still try my best to purchase this figurine. But since KAWS will release the BFF figurines, I will try to purchase the pink BFF colorway.
