Allah taught Adam the names of all things, a knowledge that even the angels did not possess. When Allah presented these names to the angels, they admitted their limitations, acknowledging that they only knew what Allah had taught them. 3. Command to the Angels to Bow

Allah commanded the angels to prostrate before Adam as a gesture of respect (not worship) to honor Adam’s knowledge and position. All the angels obeyed except Iblees (Satan), who was a jinn and disobeyed out of pride and arrogance, saying he was better than Adam because he was created from fire while Adam was created from clay. For this act of disobedience and pride, Allah cursed Iblees and expelled him from Paradise.

4. Life in Paradise and the Forbidden Tree

Allah allowed Adam and his wife, Hawwa (Eve), to live in Paradise with complete freedom, except that they were forbidden from approaching a particular tree. However, Iblees tempted them by whispering that eating from the tree would make them eternal or like angels. Eventually, Adam and Hawwa succumbed to the temptation and ate from the forbidden tree.

5. Repentance and Forgiveness

Realizing their mistake, Adam and Hawwa felt immense remorse and turned to Allah in sincere repentance. Allah, being Most Merciful, accepted their repentance but decreed that they would now live on Earth. This incident demonstrated human vulnerability to mistakes but also the importance of seeking forgiveness and Allah's willingness to forgive.

6. The Earthly Life and Guidance

After descending to Earth, Adam and Hawwa began their life on Earth and started the human family. Allah promised that guidance would be sent to humanity, and those who followed His guidance would find success, while those who rejected it would face consequences.
