Lynn was just 11 months old when she and her 1 ½ year-old sister Andi were placed in separate foster care homes. The sisters didn’t realize they were both in the system till Lynn was around eight, and with only rare, fully-supervised visits, they were unable establish a relationship. It wouldn’t be till Lynn was in high school and Andi - who'd aged out of foster care and enrolled in college - sent her an invitation to visit that they began to get acquainted. And, quickly became best friends.

Today, Lynn wonders how their lives and experiences would have differed if they’d had each other growing up.

She knows all too well the trauma, fear, and uncertainty of being jostled from home-to-home, and the loneliness that comes from the lack of a stable, loving connection.
