As a dermatologist, let me enlighten you about the monsoon season. Once monsoon hits us, especially the November, December, January, Feb, Feb duration, so what happens is the skin starts drying. So now the key concern is how do you tackle dry skin? Everyone should have a habit of using a moisturiser. Why a moisturiser? Moisturizers contain ceramides that make sure the trans-epidermal water loss is maintained in the skin during the season. So moisturizers should be applied as soon as you take your bath morning and evening twice daily. When the droplets of water are there, once you wipe your body with towel, let few droplets stay on your skin. Apply a moisturizer so that along with the moisturizer, your water also is retained inside. Moisturize yourself regularly. Along with the moisturiser, please eat watery fruits. Why watery fruits? Because watery fruits are Vitamin C rich which improves your immunity so that during these climatic changes your immunity is also built a bit so that you will not get any viral infections that may be prone in this season. And make sure to have good hair and skin water. A normal like a 50 kg human being should drink at least 2 litres of water per day. and you really need to make sure you sleep on time. Make sure you sleep before 10 o'clock at night so that there's something called skin circadian rhythm which works in the morning and which works in the night. So the more late you sleep at night, your skin circadian rhythm gets disturbed, hence hair falls, skin rashes, all whatever you're prone to get genetically get activated right now. So in case we carry a dry skin gene, let's say you had sleepless nights for the past few days. Suddenly your skin starts getting dried without a reason. That is because your sleepless nights are the reason the gene got activated. Because there is a family gene inside you which was silent. So when the immunity came down because of sleepless nights, the gene got activated. And you are visibly seeing dry skin on your skin. So hence prioritize your lifestyle to have a good skin and good hair. Eat healthy. Make sure you include fruits in your diet, Nuts in your diet and sleep on time.
