In this second episode in our general study of theology we look at 2 Bible passages that prophecy of coming theologies. This is important to notice because even though these theologies do not deny that salvation is through Jesus and they otherwise seem rather harmless the New Testament reveals that they are eternally deadly because they are false doctrines. We learned in our last episode "Theology and False Doctrine" that twisting the text even in a small way is grounds for eternal condemnation according to Galatians 1:6-9. Now we see that the New Testament foretells of doctrines that would develop that would fall into that category. Today we call them theologies, and Church doctrines. The theme of our day is that as long as a Church or Christian believes in Jesus they can hold to belief systems that clearly contradict scripture and be still be saved. The Bible says the opposite and we learn this in this video. Though we should be patient with people who oppose Bible passages while prayerfully consider whether our own beliefs are biblically sound we should never forget that the stakes for accepting, believing, practicing and teaching error include eternal ruin.
