The Legend of Valkyrie | A Namco Coin-Op Classic Left in Japan | REVIEW (1989, Arcade)

REVIEW: The Legend of Valkyrie, or Valkyrie no Densetsu, is one of Namco's most beloved arcade titles in Japan, and its titular heroine, Valkyrie, is one of the company's most popular characters. This fantasy based run-and-gun shooter with light RPG elements set game centers across Japan ablaze, but sadly that fire didn't carry over to international markets, as the arcade smash hit was sadly--and inexplicably--left in Japan.

IGFTW Ep. 28 is a review of this legendary arcade title, part 2 in a planned 4-part series covering Namco's Valkyrie series.
