This is the last episode of Ladakh series i.e. 5th Episode.
We have explored many different places in previous episodes of Ladakh Series starting from Leh and ending to Leh.
In this Episode, We have visited top 5 places of Leh city

1- Hall Of Fame- Run by the Indian Army, this museum/war memorial houses weapons, history exhibits & a souvenir shop.

2- Thiksey Monestary- This is the largest monastery of Central Ladakh, the monastery is also famous for its 49 ft tall statue of Maitreya Buddha in the lotus position, covering two floors of the monastery. The statue was built to commemorate the 14th Dalai Lama's visit to Thiksey Monastery in the year 1970.

3- Leh Mall Road- Leh Market is an ancient market dated back to the 15th century, the era of King Singe Namgyal,. The Market today is one of the main attraction of Leh City

4- Shey Palace- Shey palace and the monastery were built in the 16th Century AD. The monastery enshrines the Du-Khang with an almost 10 meter high copper statue of Lord Buddha. The Shey palace was built by King Deledan Nagmyal and Shey Palace boasts of the largest victory stupa in Leh, the top of which is made of pure gold.


5- Leh Palace- It is a great example of medieval Tibetan architecture and boasts nine storeys. The palace entrance is decorated with wooden carved figurines.
