Theatrical Design & Tech Episode 2: Setting the Stage

The topic of this lesson is setting the stage. In this lesson we discuss working from technical draftings, and the use of a scale model-box. We will create a 1/2" scale model-boxes to use for our designs in future lessons. Here you'll find a simple at-home activity that includes geometry, measuring, model-making, drawing, and basic drafting skills.

Required materials:

-Scissor
-Ruler
-Pencil
-Glue stick or White glue (Elmers, tacky, etc.)
-Cardboard (Foam core, cereal box cardboard, Bristol or butter boards will also work for this project)

Optional:

-Protractor
-Architectural Scale Ruler
