Shots of cars waiting to board the ferry at Dover, shots on deck and the interior ferry lounge plus Hoverspeed hovercraft speeding by and then arriving in Calais, France.
This ship was named MS Vortigern, built for British Rail in 1969. The UK flagged Sealink ships operated the Dover/Boulogne route and the French ran to Calais. The Vortigern switched to train ferry duties in the winter months on the Dover/Dunkirk route. She was the most versatile member of the fleet. Latterly she operated out of Folkestone before her sale to Greek owners.
