Easy DIY Guide To Protecting FRUIT TREES From Cold

Описание к видео Easy DIY Guide To Protecting FRUIT TREES From Cold

This is an easy DIY guide to protecting fruit trees from cold. Using this method, I am growing avocado trees and citrus trees in ground in a climate that gets as cold as 10°F (-12°C) every year. It's easy and cheap to do this, and it makes growing subtropical fruit trees possible!

This method is more than frost protection. This method can protect fruit trees from very hard freezes that would normally kill a sensitive fruit tree. All you need for this are:

1. Incandescent strand lights, such as Christmas lights (NOT LED lights)
2. A plant jacket (see my Amazon Storefront*)
3. 1/2" PVC conduit, 3/8" rebar, and 1/2" conduit Tee's
4. Cored brick (optional)
5. Wi-Fi smart outdoor outlet (optional - see Amazon Storefront*)
