So, as of today, Vijay Mallya has no direct role in the RCB franchise. It is owned and controlled by the British company Diageo.

However, the company responsible for running RCB’s operations — Royal Challengers Sports Pvt. Ltd. — is still managed by United Spirits Limited (USL). This means USL handles RCB’s financial decisions and overall operations. Hence, the credit for RCB’s value and strong branding goes to USL.)
