Hurricane Beryl Mexico Landfall Coverage, Texas Threat

Hurricane Beryl continues to stubbornly hold on to its intensity, and is still near Category 3 strength on its final approach to the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. Dangerous winds, a sizeable storm surge, and heavy rain of up to 6 inches are expected as the storm sweeps through.

On the forecast, Beryl is expected to reintensify when it enters the Gulf of Mexico, and become a hurricane once again as it approaches the far northeastern part of the country and into south Texas. Rainfall of up to 12 inches is possible if the storm moves slowly over the area after landfall.
