Why Nazgûl fear Water, Chase to Rivendell & Flight to the Ford - LotR Film & Book Differences expl.

Описание к видео Why Nazgûl fear Water, Chase to Rivendell & Flight to the Ford - LotR Film & Book Differences expl.

Why do the Nazgûl fear water? They did not dare to enter the Bruinen (Loudwater) at the ford for quite some time (we see it in the film, but also read it in the book). We also talk about the flood of the Bruinen. I try to answer this (we talk again about Melkor, also known as Morgoth). Beyond that we look at many details and film & book differences on the way to Rivendell or Imladris as the Elves call it starting at the petrified Trolls in the Trollshaws. This includes the chase of the Black Riders (Ringwraiths) to the Ford of Bruinen and big parts of the chapter Flight to the Ford - as always in detail.

We in addition talk briefly about Bilbo again (rest in peace Ian Holm =/ ) a bit more about Glorfindel and his horse Asfaloth. In the film Arwen replaced or fused with Glorfindel and we look at her role too a bit (and some behind the scenes material). Including the Elvish (Sindarin) dialogues from the film. So what does Arwen say at the Ford of Bruinen (Ford of Rivendell)? Find out.

I hope you enjoy the video!

► Mistakes:
- maybe the volume is a bit low
- Khamûl could also be pronounced "Chamûhl" (CH as in German "Bach") at least by the Orcs, quote from Appendix E:
"kh thus represents the same sound as ch in Orkish Grishnákh, or Adûnaic (Númenórean) Adúnakhôr. On Dwarvish (Khuzdul) see note below."

Orcs officially spoke Black Speech too, but also their own languages and dialects. So it's imo not clear if it's the same in Black Speech.
