AC Hotel Sacramento by Marriott opens in downtown

A brand-new hotel just opened in the heart of downtown Sacramento, adding what experts call much-needed hotel rooms to the city. AC Hotel Sacramento, by Marriott, opened its doors to guests Thursday. The property is located at the corner of 7th and I streets at a site that used to be a public parking lot. Scott Ford, economic development director for the Downtown Sacramento Partnership, said the new hotel adds to the city’s overall mission of trying to attract larger events to town.
