English: Join me on my ride with my old Yamaha XT 250 3Y3 on a small mountain called Haunsberg in the district of the Salzburger Land right across the border to the Berchtesgadener Land, Bavaria. We first cross the river Salzach and ride through the town of Oberndorf and after a short ride on the highway we take the road uphill to the summit of Mount Haunsberg. My Yamaha XT 250 3Y3 was first on the street in the year 1983 and I’ve bought it in the internet after a break of roughly 10 years I sold my last one besides of my Honda CB 500 Four and a Suzuki DR 500. So I’ve bought that Yamaha XT again end of 2017 and then refurbished it in 2018. Over the last 5 years I had a lot of fun riding it. It’s a wonderful day in Autumn, so life is good, enjoy :) ... Would be just great if this Yamaha would have 350 ccm ... for the XT 500 is a big bore kit available though.
Deutsch: Wir fahren mit meiner alten Yamaha XT 250 3Y3 auf einen kleinen Berg namens Haunsberg, gelegen im Salzburger Land jenseits der Grenze des Berchtesgadener Landes, Oberbayern. Zuerst überqueren wir den Fluss Salzach und fahren durch den Ort Oberndorf, nehmen dann aber nach einer kurzen Strecke auf der Bundesstraße die enge Landstraße zum Gipfel des Haunsbergs hoch. Meine Yamaha XT 250 3Y3 wurde erstmals 1983 zugelassen, erstanden habe ich sie im Internet 10 Jahre nachdem ich meine vorherige Yamaha XT neben meiner Honda CB 500 Four und einer Suzuki DR 500 verkauft habe. Diese Yamaha XT 250 3Y3 kaufte ich Ende 2017 und restaurierte sie in 2018. In den letzen 5 Jahren hat sie mir viel Freude gebracht. Es ist ein wunderbarer Tag im August um sich der Fahrt zu erfreuen. Wäre einfach toll, wenn diese Yamaha 350 ccm hätte ... für die XT 500 gibt es soviel ich weiß einen Big Bore Kit.
