ILLUMISHADE - Fabi & Miri on first North American tour, the ideas and art of Another Side Of You!

Swiss cinematic prog metal masters Illumishade have returned with their second full length release “Another Side Of You” via Napalm Records.

I caught up with founder Fabienne Erni (also of Eluvetie) and Mirjam Skal, keyboardist, backup vocalist and film composer, during their recent tour stop in Toronto.

The bands combination of different genres and musical inspirations creates something incredibly immersive, and completely their own.

We discussed their latest record, working with artist and Infected Rain guitarist Vidick, their Canadian connection and collaborator, and their first North American tour (on the road now with Korpiklaani and Visions of Atlantis.)
