MTH Electric Trains: Railking (1995) VHS Rare Out of Print

The MTH Electric Trains: Rail King dealer video catalog from 1995. This is a very rare and out of print VHS tape by video producer Don Varda of Varda Communications Corporation. It was produced in 1995 for Mike's Train House, better known as MTH Electric Trains. It was sold through MTH dealers to showcase the various model railroad products such as the Tinplate Traditions series of remakes of classic Prewar toy trains, the scale-detailed Premier Line O gauge locomotives of scale detailed steam and diesels featuring the revolutionary Protosound system developed by QSI for MTH, as well as the all new semi-scale and rugged Railking line that feature 50's ruggability and 90's technology. The layouts featured in this video are of John Wendt's and Dave Simon, who previously appeared in Varda's "The Romance of Model Railroading: O Gauge Layouts" video.

Don Varda is best known for working with acclaimed toy train collector and video producer Tom McComas at TM Books & Video during the early to mid 1990's. Varda and McComas together produced many shows for TM such as the original Toy Train Revue video magazine, The Magic of Lionel Trains, the first entries of the very popular I Love Toy Trains video series, and many more. In 1994, Don Varda left TM to pursue his own video production company called Varda Communications Corporation based out of LaPorte, Indiana. He created a few videos about toy trains such as "Postwar Lionel Collectors Series", "Stop, Look and Listen How To Identify Postwar Lionel", and "The Romance of Model Railroading: O Gauge Layouts" . Varda stopped making videos by the late 90's and is now a coach in LaPorte, Indiana.
