This is our last day in Rome. Tomorrow, we will be traveling to Florence. We had a great time here and spent our final day in the Vatican City. We visited St. Peter’s Basilica, a truly remarkable religious site. The grand architecture, stunning artwork, and rich historical significance made it an incredibly memorable experience. We also did the St Peter's Dome climb which is breathetaking.

These are the highlights :
* The Dome : If you’re up for it, climbing to the top of the dome offers stunning panoramic views of Vatican City and Rome. The final climb to the dome is difficult, but the view from the top is well worth the effort.
* The Pieta : On your right as you enter the basilica is Michelangelo’s Pietà, a marble sculpture depicting the Virgin Mary holding the body of Christ. The sculpture is renowned for its exquisite detail and emotional intensity.
* The Papal Altar : The main altar of St. Peter’s Basilica is reserved for papal ceremonies and is adorned with the impressive Baldachin.
* The Baldachin : At the center of the basilica, you’ll find the Baldachin, a magnificent bronze canopy designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. This grand structure is supported by twisted columns and stands over the Papal Altar, which is the focal point of the basilica.
* St. Peter’s Chair : Near the main altar is the Chair of St. Peter, a relic of significant importance, enclosed in a massive ornate structure. This chair symbolizes the authority of the Pope and is an important pilgrimage site.
* Grottoes : Beneath the basilica, you can explore the Vatican Grottoes, where numerous popes are buried. This quieter area is filled with historical significance and impressive tombs.
