1. Review the evidence base for statins as the cornerstone of LDL-lowering therapy and ASCVD prevention
2. Apply evidence from new clinical trials with nonstatin therapy (ezetimibe, PCSK9 inhibitors) into practice
3. Compare and contrast current Cholesterol Guidelines (2013 ACC/AHA, 2015 NLA, and 2016 ACC Non-Statin Expert Consensus)
4. Understand how future targets of lipid-lowering therapy may further reduce residual cardiovascular risk
