HIKING MOUNT TEIDE 3718m FOR SUNRISE 🌋

A night hike up to "El Teide" (3718m) to see the sunrise from the summit.
This video is for people who prepare for such a night hike.
You can see how it looks like (dark and daylight) and hear how it feels/sounds like (enjoy my breathing and sniffing).

At the start of the hike there is a signpost saying "5: 30 hours" to the summit.
From own experience: you need MORE at night... But maybe I was just SUPER slow (my excuse: I carried a big camera with tripod).
I think that if you want to enjoy the hike and not race and are in a "normal shape", you should consider 6-7 hours of total NIGHT-hiking time (with breaks).
I started from carpark "Montaña Blanca" at 0: 22am, then "Marbles" 1: 28am, "Altavista Refuge" 4: 22am, "Mirador de la Fortaleza" 6: 08am and then "Cable Car top station" at 6: 36am....
After the sacret gate/entry to "Sendero 10" I arrived at the summit at 7: 15am just in time for sunrise at 7: 37am...
I was surprised how much time and energy that last little stretch from the cable car station to the summit took me: 45 minutes...
Maybe "Sendero 10" is an easy walk in daylight if you arrive by cable car without any luggage.
But for the end of the "night hike", this last part was the hardest for me and you can hear that in my "breathing/puffing/sniffing"

Sorry for the quality of the "night videos", but I had no experience before with filming at night.
But actually what you see in the "night videos" is what I saw: pretty much NOTHING! So that is very accurate 😁
I found it super interesting to hike down the same path at daytime, so I saw things in the dark and then at daytime.
I tried to give you the same experience of "wow, that's where I was in the dark" by adding the night scenes to the daytime videos.
