ThermaRest MondoKing XXL review and demonstration

I purchased two of these after doing some car camping in the mountains and my wife and I worked up pretty sore and didn’t have a good night’s rest. We used various back packing camping pads and air mattresses and decided that the next time, we definitely want something more comfortable. We eventually decided upon the ThermaRest MondoKing 3D XXL based on so many great reviews for comfort and the high R-Value insulation. Heard the R-Value is around 11 which your average pads have none or very low allowing the cold air underneath making it very cold as well. It’s definitely not for back packing, but great for car camping.

Overall, the mattress feels so much more comfortable than any of the other inflatable travel mattresses we slept on. I’ll do a review later on how it worked out camping later.
