Hey Ya’ll Brandon Hewitt here with Brandom Fishing and I love floating down rivers! I really love fishing while floating down rivers and here in Texas the fall time is a great time of year to do it. The water can be a little chilly but it is better than sweating through a whole gallon jug of water!

I take 3 fly rods with me but only get fish on the 2 weight. I didn't see any carp or gar pike that wanted to eat. It was just a peaceful afternoon float catching multiple species of fish and seeing plenty of wildlife. This one was a lot of fun to film and if you ever get a chance to float from fisherman's park in Bastrop Texas to the Colorado river refuge I highly recommend it. I am from Michigan and grew up on small clear rivers and creeks fishing for trout. These little bass and panfish reminded me so much of that experience. It was a lot of fun.

I have done the float before multiple times and the Bastrop River Co and Rising Phoenix Adventures offer great services, or you can just have someone drop you off and pick you up like I did. Thanks to my wife, for dropping me off and picking me up!!!
