Raga Aheer Bhairav | Dr. Shubham Modi | Bada Khayal | Chhota Khayal

Dr. Shubham started learning Indian Classical vocal at the early age of 6 years under the “Guru – Shishya” Parampara(A very Old Tradition). He is teaching and practicing Indian Classical vocal from the last 2 decades under the tutelage of Ustad Tanveer Ahmed Khan s/o “Taan Samrat” Ustad Naseer Ahmend Khan(Delhi Gharana).

Shubham is an empaneled artist of “Indian Council for Cultural Relationship” (Ministry of External Affairs) and has been nominated for prestigious National award Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva puraskar in 2017 under Sangeet Natak Akademi. He is a “B High” grade Indian Classical Vocalist in All India Radio(Ministry of Broadcast). He has been performing for last 1 decade for different societies and organisations like Sangeet Natak Akademi, Sanskar Bharti, Swami Haridas Sammelan, Krishna Prerna Charitable Trust, Sahitya Kala Akademi to name a few.

After graduating in Hindustani Music from Hindu College, he has completed Masters in the same from Ramjas college. He has done his P.hd. in Music on “Folk Vocal Music of Jharkhand” from Faculty of Music and Fine Arts, Delhi University. His constant endeavor is to touch peoples life through Music and to do that he is actively teaching in some Ngo’s which are Gavaksh, Music Basti, Rhythm of Life to name a few. I am also teaching at Sadhana school of Music, Dance and Arts for last 5 years.

He has released my first fusion album named “AOCHAR” which gained a huge success in India as well as Abroad. He has collaborated with many International renowned musicians and travelled to different countries. Currently he is working as an Ass. Professor at Amity University, Noida.

He has published 7-8 research papers in peer reviewed and UGC care listed Journals.
