Etihus (conlang) Intro 2 - Functional Oligosynthetic Language

Описание к видео Etihus (conlang) Intro 2 - Functional Oligosynthetic Language

This video is really old, and I've since come up with better ways of explaining Etihus.
For starters, while Etihus can be spoken, it is not a phonetic language. Trying to apply phonetic Indo-European language concepts to Etihus will not work.

Note, I am FULLY aware that Etihus does not use a true alphabet by linguistic definition, which is why I already clarified that in the video. The use of the word "letter" and "alphabet" are linguistically incorrect terms; I use them (also as stated in the video already) "for the ease of the broader audience". Describing Etihus' core units as letter-words organized in an alphabet has made it significantly easier to teach to an English speaker who does not study linguistics.

As such, no, Etihus is not a syllabary because most of the root morphemes have multiple syllables in them; the image at 05:55 is a list of the morphemes themselves (minus 2 which have since been added).

The second introduction to Etihus, though at this point it doesn't really matter which is watched first. I realize this one is more high energy and a lot better in some regards to the previous, though less professional-ish. This one I was able to script out since it was all digital so I don't have my usual stutter.

The next video, third installment will be more about Meer'Et's linguistic history and include some actual words and phrases.
