The CDB Hive

Beekeeping has been a tradition in the remote area of Glencolmcille, Co. Donegal for over 100 years. The Congested District Board hive (CDB Hive) has been a big part of this. This hive is well suited to our wet and windy climate and our redesigned CDB allows for the production of both run and section honey.
