High-Resolution vinyl rip of Led Zeppelin II. The Holy Grail of Led Zeppelin II vinyl recordings: The "GP" pressing refers to the original pressing first edition.

If you want to hear the transparently natural sounding mastering genius of a legend like the late George Piros you don't only have Mercury "Living Presence" classical LPs to listen to. George cut many pop records for Atlantic during the sixties and seventies.

This was recorded at 24/96 high resolution on our $10,000 vinyl system at Shinjitsu Audio Listening Lab where we auditioned all of our completed speakers.

A personal note:
I happened to run into Robert Plant in 2004 in the city of Reykjavik, Iceland. Mr. Plant had performed a concert in the city that night and was sitting at a table by himself in the Nordica Hotel bar, sipping on a beer.
He had a couple of beers and retired to his room after several intoxicated Icelanders had approached him at his table. He seemed annoyed. He nodded to us as we were sitting at the next table and winked as he walked by.

The next morning, I happened to run into him again as he was heading to the elevator. I dashed in. I did not speak initially as what does one say to a rock God? He did however speak to me and stated:” Sleep well?” I said, “yes I did… how about you?” He replied, “I ate some putrefied shark and was tossing and turning all night”.

Of note: the putrefied shark is an Icelandic delicacy.

As the elevator doors opened, I spoke to him for the last time asking, “Are you coming to breakfast?” He said, “I’m not sure.”

I later saw him at breakfast with his crew.

He was quite a nice guy. I found him to be taller than I expected.
