Описание к видео Climbing Mount Toubkal, Atlas Mountain in Morocco. Roof of North Africa

Morocco, a North African country bordering the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea, is distinguished by its Berber, Arabian and European cultural influences. With cities like Casablanca, Fez, Tangier and Chefchaouen fusing international influences with local customs and culture, this coastal nation provides the backdrop for a once in a lifetime adventure.

Toubkal (Berber:, Adrar n Tubkal; Arabic: جبل توبقال‎) is a mountain peak in southwestern Morocco, located in the Toubkal National Park. At 4,167 metres (13,671 ft), it is the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains and in North Africa. It is located 63 km south of the city of Marrakesh, in the Toubkal National Park. The first ascent by Europeans was on 12 June 1923 by the Marquis de Segonzac, Vincent Berger and Hubert Dolbeau, but the mountain may have been climbed before that date.
