Harbour Attack was released in 1984 by Commodore Business Machines (UK) Ltd and produced by Mr. Micro Ltd. The game was coded by Greg Duddle who is best known for the much loved games like Treasure Island and Exorcist.

Harbour Attack was a funny old game and in fact was the perfect type of game to be released along with the other 10 in the UK's Commodore Plus/4 bundle pack. The first screen with the sub and mines really was an eye opener but unless you took a look at the games instructions you may of given up on level 2 wondering how on earth do you complete it after spending ages shooting the boat and a handful of jet fighters. The trick was that you needed to shot an equal amount of ships as well as jet fighters flying above, although even now that number is unknown.
After spending what felt like forever on level 2 you would then see the final stage. See the video for more on this. :)

Anyways if you never made it past level 2 then now is your chance to see that final and 3rd screen. As I said at the start, Harbour Attack was a funny old game as it reminded me more of a Game & Watch type game from the early 80's than anything else, but still many will have fond memories of this back in Christmas 1985 when we all opened up are Commodore Plus/4 bundle packs - if you were lucky enough to have such a deal in your part of the world that is! ;-)

The game was release by it's self shipped in a very rare clam shell case and it even had some nice art work on the front cover, as did all of the 11 games that shipped with the UK Plus4 bundle pack!
