I recently reached level 50 on my Devil Hunter in Lost Ark, so I tried out how guardian raids work in the game. It's very different from the usual dungeons/chaos dungeons/boss fights in the game, and other ARPG's, in the sense that, with the raids, it's basically Monster Hunter in a nutshell.

You have limited 'lives' for the whole party, the boss' HP is not visible, he is also not visible on the map unless you use flares. The boss also retreats to other areas of the map/arena several times throughout the fight. And just like the monster hunter series, you have limited usable items, parts like tails or shells can be cut or destroyed, you collect materials from the bosses and craft raid gear.

It's a very fresh mechanic for an ARPG, and provides variety compared to the other dungeons and activities that are available in the game.
