With what settings in blender cycles can you render pretty realistic jewelry with diamonds? This video shows a not very exciting scene with some earrings and diamonds. It's more about the settings needed to render the diamonds as realistically as possible.

On my relatively old hardware (GTX 1080), this video rendered at 720 frames for 30 seconds clip (at 24 frames per second in full hd resolution) for about 36 hours. I have already reduced the rendering quality in order not to have to calculate the rendering even longer. The result is far from optimal but acceptable considering the rendering time.
