Описание к видео Study - Excessive Weight Gain During Pregnancy Increases Risk of Gestational Diabetes

Compared with women whose weight remained stable, body mass index gains between the first and second pregnancy were associated with an increased risk of gestational diabetes mellitus in the second pregnancy. Losing weight between the first and second pregnancies appears to reduce GDM risk in the second pregnancy, particularly for women who were overweight or obese to begin with, according to Kaiser Permanente Division of Research study appearing online in the journal Obstetrics and Gynecology. Samantha Ehrlich, MPH, discusses the study in this video.
