🚨Marie Lynn Lasas was just 19 years old when she vanished on September 21, 2006, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Known as "the Kokum" (grandmother) for her protective nature, Marie was a mother of two, a youth mentor, and an activist who helped organize annual Days of Mourning for victims of the s*x industry. Nine months after her disappearance, her remains were discovered behind an abandoned house. Nearly 19 years later, her case remains unsolved.
In this episode, we examine the life of Marie Lynn Lasas—a young woman from the Cowessess First Nation who deserved so much better.
