सुभ्रत पाठक की राजनीतिक यात्रा काफी उतार-चढ़ाव भरी रही है। उन्होंने भारतीय जनता युवा मोर्चा (BJYM) के अध्यक्ष के रूप में शुरुआत की और 2019 के लोकसभा चुनावों में समाजवादी पार्टी की डिंपल यादव को हराकर "कन्नौज का जायंट किलर" का खिताब जीता। हालांकि, उनके कार्यकाल में कुछ विवाद भी सामने आए, लेकिन कन्नौज के लोगों ने उनके काम को सराहा।

2024 के लोकसभा चुनावों में सुभ्रत पाठक ने फिर से कन्नौज से चुनाव लड़ा, लेकिन इस बार उन्हें समाजवादी पार्टी के नेता अखिलेश यादव से हार का सामना करना पड़ा। वर्तमान में वह उत्तर प्रदेश भाजपा के महासचिव के रूप में कार्यरत हैं और उनकी राजनीतिक स्थिति पर सबकी निगाहें हैं
