About RFLD: The Women Leaders Network for Development (RFLD), funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through GIZ, convened over 40 African advocates in Dakar, Senegal, to advance the influence of African women's leadership and human rights. RFLD has an Observer Status at the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights (ACHPR) and is a Member of the Working Group on Human Rights Defenders. RFLD advocates for gender-sensitive reforms and enhances protections for women human rights defenders.

The Afro-Feminist Initiative: Through the Afro-Feminist Initiative for Human Rights Development, RFLD amplifies the voices of African women and enhances grassroots capacity to promote gender equality and safeguard human rights. The consultation convened Civil Society Organizations, Media Actors, and State Representatives to engage with Hon. Rémy Ngoy Lumbu, the Special Rapporteur on Human Rights Defenders and Focal Point on Reprisals in Africa, at the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights (ACHPR).

The SEA-T Program: The Society. Equality. The Africa – Transformation (SEA-T) program works with local and regional civil society actors. It promotes social transformation and citizen participation to reduce gender inequalities and rebalance power relations. SEA-T recognizes the expertise, autonomy, and initiative of its partners. It provides financial and technical support, fosters regional exchanges, and enhances advocacy efforts. Funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in collaboration with GIZ, SEA-T is an example of international cooperation that supports African-led change.
