MDI Gurgaon Fiasco : The Harsh Reality of MBA admissions

Highlights of a MBA tragic comedy by Management Development Institute, Gurgaon.

Post CAT, most IIMs release waitlists apart from full admission offers. Monitoring waitlists are a tedious task and can be an anxiety ridden experience. However, some private colleges rise above the system to invent a new level of hell.

MDI succeeded in mismanaging their calculations of dropout rates and issues admission letters to more students than they can take in (to fill their seats quicker). Now, when the students have rejected other college offers and stand ready to join their institute, they send out a notifications that THEY CANT.

So, Who suffers the most? MBA Aspirants. Who doesn’t suffer at all? The MBA colleges. Typical.
